Situated in one of Brighton’s premier garden squares, Alston House is a few minutes from the sea, Brighton Pier and the Royal Pavilion. Getting to our hotel in Brighton is easy by train, bus or car.
Trains from London Victoria, King’s Cross or London Bridge will get you to Brighton within an hour or an hour and 20 minutes depending on the train.
Most trains will stop at Gatwick airport and will get you to Brighton within 25 minutes.
Alston House is a short ride by bus, taxi, or an easy (downhill) 20 minutes walk.
Buses are frequent to St James street and run from all over the city. Bus number 1, 7, 12, 12A, 27 from Brighton Train Station, Churchill Square or any other bus stop on North Street going towards Kemp Town or the Brighton Marina.
Bus no. 1 and 7 will go along St James street. Get off outside the Co-Operative and cross over the road to New Steine.
Bus no. 12, 12A or 27 will go along the Marine Parade, get off the stop for New Steine and the hotel is a short walk from the bus stop.
Drive straight to Brighton seafront (after leaving the M23 / A23 or M27/A27). In front of the Brighton Pier roundabout turn first left onto Marine Parade.
Continue east along Marine Parade and turn left into New Steine (9th turning on left). Drive round the square to the opposite side and park towards the end, on the left when you see number 28.
